The thing that you should be looking forward to see when visiting Mt. Batolusong is the iconic sea of clouds view when you're at the Duhatan Ridge, the usual camp site of climbers. Although it has limited flat space to set up your tents, the sea of clouds makes your stay on this ridge worthy.
Duhatan Ridge, from the name itself, I assume is that it came from the name of a fruit-bearing tree called Duhat, in Bisaya and Cebuano we call it lumboy. It's just about an hour and half or two hike from the jump off point of Barangay San Andres.
The sea of clouds is spectacular and picturesque especially during rainy and cloudy seasons, and today we're lucky that the weather cooperated for us to witness this magnificent view from the Duhatan Ridge, our camp site.

A lot of things you'd love to see there, as for me who's used to live in urban areas, seeing rice fields is a thing to miss since I rarely go home and when I do, I just have little time to stay there and immerse myself to nature again. It's just like my home where you can see rice fields and breathe some fresh air from nature while trekking and enjoying the view.

I know mountain climbers are always ready and they always are bringing things they need, but as for people who aren't really into it and are just wanting an escapade to try something new, they might forget to bring things they need, such as drinking water and other stuffs, but yeah, don't worry because in Mt. Batolusong you can find mini stores like the photo below, and they also sell refreshments and some healthy snacks like steamed banana and camote, fresh buko etc, there's also an ice cream! Yes you heard it right! The little ice cream on popsicle sticks which you'd love to bite when you're very thirsty trying to reach the summit.
I saw someone selling it there in the Mapatag Plateau and not on this store below, unlucky I am that I left my money in the camp site to reach the Rangyas peak that's why I wasn't able to by the popsicle. Next time, bring some money guys so you won't regret you don't know what's great buys ahead, so better prepare even just a little cash would do.

The photo below is the usual place where hikers set up tents. It's part of the Duhatan Ridge, you could see the Duhat trees around, plus you got an amazing view side by side, this is the perfect spot to witness the sea of clouds.
